Lab Test - Contact Angle Measuremenent

The Rock Fluid imaging laboratory provide contact angle measurements of liquid droplets on the surface of a rock.

The measurements use standard equipment to produce droplets volume around 0.5 to 10 microliter.

.

Contact angle measurement is a fundamental technique used to assess the wettability of a rock surface by a fluid (e.g., water, oil, gas). Wettability is a key property controlling fluid distribution, flow behavior, and recovery efficiency in porous media.

Contact angle measurement is a cost-effective, versatile, and direct method for understanding fluid–rock interactions, which are critical in optimizing production, designing recovery strategies, and ensuring the long-term performance of subsurface reservoirs.
